V is for the color Violet.

Well, there MUST be a shade of true violet in there someplace...
People always seem to differ on what they think violet should be.   I spent 15 years mixing colors in a paint factory, so I know from experience that my idea of violet is most likely going to be different than yours.   So, here's a variety of violet, purple, and blue hues -- pick out one you like...

I like them all. Great color pallate and I especially like the bee coming in for a landing. Great choice for V.

Beautiful! One spray in perfect focus in front of all those blurred colours. Not to mention the bee (if that's what it is). I love it.

Enough colors to keep all violet-prone individuals happy I'd say.

(BTW: According to Wikipedia, Vespa means wasp in both Latin and Italian. The original scooters were thought to sound like and resemble a wasp.)

Great choice for "V." Violet--in all its shades--is a favorite of mine in the garden. Thanks for visiting me!

Since the perception of any and all colour is highly individual, let us say that your vision of violet was very various.

That is a work of art! And what you say about color--especially violet, I think--is certainly true. I have similar problems with "teal". Some think it is green but I have always thought it was more of a blue.

Definitely a beautiful blur of violet and my eyes sees different shades each time I look at it.

Beautiful violets, but I always think of it as a deeper hue than it actually is.

The violet picture is nice, but I really love your stained glass water shot. I live on water and love to take pictures that catch reflections. I chose V is for vegetables from my floating garden. I invite you to come see. -- Margy
