Angel Island, oversaturated

When I have an otherwise hopeless photo, I sometimes like to experiment with a limited number of colors in the image for that posterized look...

This is Angel Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay, taken from Sausalito.

You can probably tell, but it was taken at sunrise, not sunset.

An otherwise hopeless photo?

Well I think it's other than hopeless. It's quite lovely donald. :-)

A hopeless picture? Hmm... are you sure? ;) I thought the colors were awesome when it first loaded.

I like it also. It's funny that you would post this. My brother told me the other day, when he has a hopeless photo, he just uses 4 filters and over saturates.

This one looks other-worldly Don. Everytime you do one of these I'm so impressed. Love the Sunrise.

Well thanks everybody ! --

Hopeless probably wasn't the best word I could have used, but the photo really didn't have much going for it in it's original state... --After all, that's "just" Angel Island -- "just" a mystical place in the middle of San Francisco Bay...

Noise increases when saturation is boosted, but it might be interesting to have a poster size print of this photo made.

Best regards, Don.
