I noticed the giant peace-sign a week or two ago at Loch Lomond Marina in San Rafael, and I took a picture, but the day was cloudy so the photo didn't have much "pizzazz"...
I intended to return at night when the lights might be turned-on -- but then I was out there at sunrise on Friday and got this photo... Don't tell anybody, but I had to "Photoshop in" all the red lights (I blurred them slightly to give them a more realistic look) -- but that was kind of a fun project...

I can't tell where you photoshopped so you must have done just fine.
I think it was a great picture either way.
Oh, and I love the shadowed duck too. Not very festive but an awesome picture.
I won't tell...it will be our secret. Love the sunrise shots. they really pop. The duck with his wake and reflection is super.

I think the bird is a grebe - these are wonderful shots - the warmth is perfect.
I have done a lot of birding over the years and prefer sunrises to sunsets, ten to one. There is nothing like seeing the first light of day.
