I boosted the color-saturation in the top photo quite a bit to make it a bit more interesting -- my new trick for rescuing an otherwise hopeless photo...   Unfortunately, a major drawback of boosting color-saturation is a big increase in noise...   Some day I should buy a polarizer...

It may be "noisey" but it looks great to me. Its a poster picture, that's sor sure.
Glad to be back home but our trip to Washington was really nice. We stayed in Camas, Wash. which is just over the border from Oregon, so we didn't get too far into the State. With the morning weather conditions it took us 12 hours to come home. Our own bed never felt to good...

Hi Don, How interesting I also like your new header Or am I behind a header? Anyway I see you have also a 70-300 lens, is that a macro lens also? I just got one (+ a telelens of 80-400) for my birthday:0 ) So I will loook at your other photo's thanks for sharing and showing!!!

Well of course I am familiar with your blog -- I gave it a link on this a week or two ago... I love your blog -- packed full of interesting things -- I especially like your food topics...

I love the 70-300 zoom, but it is not a macro -- although I do have a "clip-on" closeup lens that fits the Canon...

Like your collage idea... Great photo blog!
