I'm not THAT brave.
And the Elephant Seal--well, I was actually in an area I shouldn't have been in--there were signs explaining that when humans get too close it causes a lot of stress for the beasts, and I really wasn't looking for Elephant Seals, but I somehow got within 30 feet or so of this one without realizing it was there. I tried to remain still and quiet but after a few minutes it seemed to be just a little bit concerned about our closeness so I backed off and left the area--I'm lucky I didn't end up with an expensive ticket and/or a stern warning from the rangers. As I remember I was using my zoom at 200mm with a 2x tele-extender.AphotoAdayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08581940419934089601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9868138.post-79091624810060755812014-03-23T15:52:47.440-07:002014-03-23T15:52:47.440-07:00Love that bull photo! If he still had his horns, it would have been like the start of a bullfight!

Love the contrast of the gentle cow, too. And did you use a telephoto lens to get so close to the seal?Zoomiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16474153316588551039noreply@blogger.com
